Vardhangad fort Maharashtra This fort is 1500 feet high and it is part of Giridurg. This fort in Phaltan hill district of Satara district is considered as easy for trekkers. This fort is a gate named 'Bhavalikundal' on the Mahadeo mountain ranges of Satara. It is built on 7 miles of Koragra and 17 miles north-east of Satara on the border of Koregaon and Khatav talukas. From the hills of Raleshwar and Raleshwar, which are adjacent to the fort, the tof can be well hit on the fort. History After the Mughals conquered Panhala in 1701, in Aurangzeb, their targets turned towards the fort in Satara.
