Kenjalgad Fort Maharashtra This fort is situated at 426 9 feet high in Giridurg. This fort in Mahabaleshwar Dongarange of Satara district is considered to be of medium to trekers. At a height of fifty feet per hour, this Bangda fort is built on a highway of Mahadev hill ranges between Wai and Raireshwar. While descending from the hill of Rohidya, on the head of a big mountain on the southwest, the Gandhi Cap-shaped Kanjalgad is occasionally appearing. Kelangja and Mohangad are the only nincomposes of Kanelagad. History This fort is said to have been built by Bhoj Rajas of Panhala who flourished in the 12th century. This fort was won by Adilshah of Bijapur in 1648.Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj had captured all the forts in Wai and Bhor region but, he was not able to win this fort till 1674.
