Fort - 4490 feet high this fort is in Giridurga type. This fort of Satlal
Ranges in Nashik district is considered as easy for trekkers.
A range of
Sahyadri is started in the Nashik district from the tunnel. And they come to
the moonlight. Next, they go up to Ankai, near Manmad. The same queue is called
the Ajanta-Seventh Line. There are 4 forts in Chandwad taluka. Rajdhore,
Koledar, Indrai, and Chandwad.
History
Much less history about this fort is known. This fort was
surrendered to Captain Mackintosh in 1818, after the garrison in the fort saw
burning of the neighbouring Rajdher fort.
GETTING THERE
Maharashtra
ST (State Transport) buses and trains are available all over from Pune and
Mumbai Mainly
1.
VADBARE: Pass a bus to Chandrwadi from Rajdhariwadi.
6 kms from Chandwad Get down to the village, which is situated at a distance.
There is a bold step to get to fort from Vadabare village. This route leads to
a jerk on the way to the fort. This route comes with the potteries of the fort
from the royal palace. It takes 3 hours for the fort to reach the fort.
2. Via Rajdhariwadi: Take a bus to Chandwad from Rajdhariwadi
and get to Rajhalarwadi. Next to the village of Vadve is the Rajdhariwadi.
There is a trek to the fort from Rajdhariwadi. This route comes with Vat Bare,
coming from the village of Kadlekadip, on the fort. It takes 2 hours for the
fort to reach the fort. This coconut has 2 caves coded in the skin. One of
these caves contains drinking water straps. From a distance, there is a steep
way to go to the fort. After reaching 150 steps, we can reach the top.
ENTRY FEES
There
is no entry fee to visit the fort, only ID is needed.

- · The Persian inscription on the left side of the entrance.
- · Lord Mahadev Temple.
- · If you go a little further then 18 to 20 cave is digged in the area, Some caves of this city are suitable for staying.
- · The last cave has a drinking water tank.

o Rajdhar
o Kolldar
o Dhodp Ikhara.
OPENING/ CLOSING TIMINGS AND DAYS
The
fort is open 24 Hrs to general public for all days of the week. One has to show
their ID to enter the fort and for foreign nationals, passport is mandatory. It
comes under Maharashtra tourism and department also promotes the heritage site.
This fort is a must visit place if you are going on a Maharashtra tour.

There are caves to stay on the fort. We must arrange for our own
convenience. Drinking water is baram in the fort. It takes 3 hours from
Vadabare village to go.

There are perennial water casks on the fort.
