Kaladurg Fort Kaldurg Fort - This fort is 1500 feet high, in the Giridurg fort. This fort of Palghar in Thane district is considered to be of medium to trekers.

There are several mountain ranges in the Palghar section of Thane district. Because of the long distance from the urban area, Mumbai can be comfortably seen in one day. All forts are on the border of Thane and Jawhar. There is a large number of tribals here because the forest is very much. All the neighborhoods are still in the wrong place.


GETTING THERE


Maharashtra ST (State Transport) buses and trains are available all over from Pune and Mumbai Mainly
Vagho Khind Via - Travel from Mumbai to Palghar via Virar Or from Kalyan, take the bus from ST Pal Palar to Manorila. Get down to the temple named 'Waghoba'. From here, the waiting distance goes to the fort. We can reach the fort on the way to the right of the temple. Remember the 'hand pump' mark. Hold the path leading up to the front of the footpipe. This route is further divided into three areas. Leave the left and right sides. The road that goes straight up can be filled with chalkadurga.



ENTRY FEES


There is no entry fee to visit the fort, only ID is needed.

Places to visit on the Kaldurg Fort

  • ·       It is not appropriate to call Kaladurg fort as if it is seen in fact. No sign can be seen in the fort.

  • ·       The top of the fort is a square shaped piece of paper.

  • ·       The area of the fort is about half an acre.

  • ·       There is a large water tank on the lower plateau.

  • ·       Kiladon is divided into layers.(A Gatematha and Plateau Plateau)

  • ·       There are 2 to 3 steps to reach the fort from the plateau. There is a water tank on the plateau.

  • ·       From the fort one can keep an eye on the entire valley.


OPENING/ CLOSING TIMINGS AND DAYS


The fort is open 24 Hrs to general public for all days of the week. One has to show their ID to enter the fort and for foreign nationals, passport is mandatory. It comes under Maharashtra tourism and department also promotes the heritage site. This fort is a must visit place if you are going on a Maharashtra tour.

Accomodation on Kaldurg Fort


Accommodation is not available on the fort. To reach the fort, it takes two hours from the Wagoba route. On the fort, it can go to all the seasons.

We have to make a meal by ourselves.


Water Facility on Kaldurg Fort


There is also a supply of twelve months of water for the waters of Parshvanatha.
